The App Store on my MacBook Pro shows I have four updates that I need to download. I click on the button to update the app, I get a spinning wheel in the upper left corner of the window, but nothing downloads. I used to get progress bars for each item I was updating, but I get zero progress bars now. Or maybe you bought a 13-inch Macbook Pro or MacBook Air, or perhaps a 16-inch MacBook Pro. No matter your Mac of choice, there are some Mac apps out there that are just so good that they should be one of the first apps that you download and install on your new machine right away! Since then, Apple has changed things up and now groups them by date instead. Apple remote desktop catalina. Thank you for your prompt reply!
I read the link to the previous discussion thread that you suggested, and this is what I did that seems to have fixed my problem:
From nbar's recommendation I did:
Open Finder, from the menu bar Go. > Go to Folder..
copy and paste the following path: ~/Library/Preferences/
Deleted the following item:
com.apple.appstore.plist
This item was not there:
com.apple.installer.plist
Then from Carolyn Samit's recommendation I did:
Open Finder, from the menu bar Go. > Go to Folder..
copy and paste the following path: ~/Library/Caches/
Deleted the following folder:
com.apple.appstore
So actually, thank you to all three of you!
